Welcome to the Gastation

so I work at a gas station, (yeah thats one way to start your story) and that means I interact with all types of people... ALL types of people. An incident i'll most likely never forget, we called the police on a vehicle with four methed-up people in it one of them being a child. The child is the main reason we called; adults can make their own choices, but dont force your poor choice on a child. Not only that, but she was dressed like a hooker. Makes me sick typing it out. So i'm told, they were apprehended and the child is safe.
We see a lot of addicts at my store partially because we're off the high way, and we're across the street from a trap house. Most of the folks there are just trying to survive, but a lot of them are there because of drug addiction. I've come to know the difference between a crack head and a meth head just by looking at their faces, but both are almost dead seeming. Drug programs for schools are proven to be non effective as they are right now, namely the DARE program; but the ultimate anti-drug lessons i've learned has been from this gas station job.
